I live in Eastern Auckland with my family. Years driving to work along the waterfront never palls. Although I have spent most of my career in books and retailing, I enjoy the mixed media side of the business as much as the hardcore bookselling. Think film of the book, soundtrack of the film of the book and fast release DVD of the film of the book which is happening now.
In my role as Retail Business Manager at Dymocks, time flies past. I love spreading the word when I read something special, and look for the exception to the big blockbusters which are sometimes rather over-indulged in terms of coverage. Books that often get overlooked, but are as good if not better than the heavily hyped titles, are my kind of read.
